Two questions to Anne Millot, nose sculptor
John Glastod: Your background is off the beaten path. Doctor in geography, sailor out of the usual maritime routes, you have moored your sailboat and for ages, seem to be fascinated by noses... these non maritime Finistère... You have become THE sculptor, recognized by the profession, at the Grand Palais, in Grasse and many other places!
Anne Millot : There is an underlying continuity. The face is a landscape, and the nose expresses a lot. One remains fascinated by a look, the sensuality of a mouth, but the nose remains this relief which structures the face.
John Glastod : The sense of smell comes from the nose...
Anne Millot : The connection to the brain is well known. Perfume, wine, the scent of a loved one, the nose opens up a world...
