Giacometti and his Le Nez are inseparable.
Personally, what inspired me in this twentieth-century artist was his attraction to faces and silhouettes, and above all his relentless way of working with materials.
That's why I emphasized the work of the clay pellet and chose a black, unglazed stoneware.
The profile of this sculpture seems non-aesthetic, but it bears witness to the distorted, dark shapes of Giacometti's sculpted figures. |
