Some news from the month of January 2024 !

 "Full nose" #40 - January 2024

Sculptor

I wish you a year 2024 full of art in the heart

The art of looking at others with toleranc

The art of savoring shared moments

The art of listening, hearing and welcoming what others have to say

The art of receivingThe art of giving

And all the arts of living that you consider precious...

The chronicle

2024 wishes are made

Bless you, it's cold

We sneeze a lot

2024 we make wishes, pious wishes

We plant stakes

In hope, in the future

Stakes to lay railings

2024 live the games

But with games and railings

It will be all right

The workshop becomes operational !

In 2023, I used a large cube to design the work spaces of a sculptor's studio.

The idea was to organize the different stages of creation: modeling, drying, cleaning, firing, storage...

Why two sinks with a settling tank? To avoid discharging contaminated water into the sewage system. The tank on the right, reserved for clay waste, will enable me to recycle it.

Winter is harsh and cool... The installation of a heating system is imminent.

I would be delighted to welcome you, preferably by appointment.

"Passing by Giacometti"

Giacometti and his Le Nez are inseparable.

Personally, what inspired me in this twentieth-century artist was his attraction to faces and silhouettes, and above all his relentless way of working with materials.

That's why I emphasized the work of the clay pellet and chose a black, unglazed stoneware.

The profile of this sculpture seems non-aesthetic, but it bears witness to the distorted, dark shapes of Giacometti's sculpted figures.

All-new website

What happens to an artist if he doesn't devote a certain amount of time, a certain amount of time even, to the intricacies of the digital world?

Does he risk a lot for his image? In fact, nothing can really be measured...

In any case, I've decided to completely overhaul my website.

Sarah's technical and listening skills made this difficult task much easier! Thanks to her 😉.
