Youth people and art in Montargis

A concentrated visit from young girls

A young man's discovery

Of course, I'd like to thank all the visitors: friends, neighbors, passers-by... who came to the exhibition in Montargis in April.

But I must share with you what surprised me most.

The young people.

Yes, they touched me with their interest in my sculptures, their open-mindedness and generous sharing of their knowledge!

As for the 7-10 year-olds, they pulled their parents to get them inside.

I experienced this several times over the two weeks!

The theme "Come, I'll take you", like the child who leads the circle, was also chosen for the National Early Childhood Week last March.

And another word of thanks: what a great idea on the part of the town council to make this small, well-appointed space available to the artists.

Honfleur, the gallery Guernieri

"Machin-chose"

40x18x17 cm, glaze sandstone, iron

In Honfleur, when you pass by rue du Dauphin, you won't be able to escape it: my latest creations on the fantastic animal theme are in the shop window!

"Ushumgal", "Deprofondis", "Gibolin", "La licorne", "Miroir"... already their title is an invitation to dream. Seeing them in real life is another adventure.

Blaye in a state of art: 4th edition

Next month, I have the real chance to take part for the 4th time in "Blaye in a state of art" with the gallery Cyril Guernieri, co-organizer.

Suffice to say, I've experienced the evolution of this event first-hand.

This 4th edition promises to be even stronger. Here are a few figures:

40 artists, 500 works, 16 exhibition and artist-meeting venues.

New additions

  1. nocturne thursday june 13

  2. Les Hospices des arts, for an auction on Saturday June 16.

One constant:

A superb team of volunteers, a warm atmosphere, free admission to all exhibition venues, the presence of artists to meet you, a diversity of works to seduce you.

Wednesday 12th to Sunday 16th June

Blaye - France

And workshop site follow-up

The external insulation is nearing completion.

The roof is now watertight, and we can now fill the 4 rainwater harvesters, each with a capacity of 300 liters. Need I point out that, at the moment, they're filling up fast?

The west and north walls will be plastered this month.

Good news: the sanitary facilities are up and running!

The next challenge, in addition to the never-ending interior finishing work...🤪, is to fit out the space for the arrival of a big, big gas oven...
